Hollyhill Pollyanna was bred by Ted & Margaret Kennedy and introduced in 2020.

Characteristics:

Form: Miniature Ball (MB). This classification is for dahlias with a perfectly spherical, honeycomb shape, where the petals are involute (curled tightly inward) for more than 75% of their length. The Miniature Ball size is one of the most durable and long-lasting forms.

Color: Light Blend / Blush Pink and Yellow (L/LB/PKY). The color is a delicate and desirable blend of soft pastels:

  • It presents as a sweet, soft, light pink or blush on the outer petals.
  • The center often retains a creamy-yellow or butter-yellow glow.
  • The overall effect is a warm, harmonious, and highly romantic light blend, making it a favorite for blush and pastel color schemes.

Bloom Size: Miniature (MB), typically ranging from 2 to 3.5 inches (5 to 9 cm) in diameter. This size is ideal for boutonnieres, corsages, and filler in bouquets.

Height: A productive plant that grows to a manageable 3.5 to 4 feet (105–120 cm) tall.

Performance:

  • Cut Flower Quality: This dahlia is an excellent, high-performing cut flower, especially for florists. It is noted for being a prolific bloomer that produces flowers on strong, long stems with great flower attachment—all crucial traits for market use.
  • Vase Life: As a Ball-type dahlia, it boasts an excellent vase life, often outlasting many larger, looser forms, which is a major advantage for wedding and event work. It is particularly valued for its consistent color, even in hotter climates where other blush dahlias might "wash out."
  • Garden Use: Its relatively compact size and robust nature make it an outstanding addition to the front or middle of a garden border, as well as being a perfect filler-flower powerhouse in the cut flower patch.

Please note that the listing is for one rooted cutting.

  • We guarantee you will receive a cutting with a healthy root system at the time of receipt that is true to variety. Please examine your order immediately upon arrival and contact us via email (not social media) within 24 hours if you see an issue with your order. After 24 hours, the buyer accepts full responsibility for the tuber as we cannot be held responsible for improper storage, weather, growing conditions, pest damage, plant performance, failure to thrive or negligence.

Starting a StartUp is a must-read for anyone who wants to build something that matters
Format: Paperback
I rarely come across a book that so perfectly balances the technical and the personal in building a startup. Starting a StartUp: How to Build Something People Want does just that. It is less of a textbook and more of a companion for founders who want to build with heart and wisdom. What I loved most: Actionable, no-fluff advice. Instead of lofty theories, the book dives right into what really matters: validating ideas, talking to users, iterating fast, and scaling smart. The checklists, templates, and real-world examples make it easy to move from reading to doing. Psychology + empathy. It does not treat an entrepreneur like a machine. The author emphasizes dealing with uncertainty, failure, and the emotional rollercoaster of starting something new. That human touch elevates it from “startup guide” to “founder guide.” Accessible to novices and veterans alike. Whether you are building your first side project or scaling your third company, there is value here: reminders about customer obsession, principles for experimentation, and stories that resonate at any stage. Readable and engaging. The prose is clear, the chapters are well-paced, and every chapter ends with key takeaways that help cement the learning. Starting a StartUp is a must-read for anyone who wants to build something that matters, not just for profits but for people. I am recommending it to friends, colleagues, and especially the next generation of makers I mentor. Highly, highly recommended. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great book for learning about startup culture.
Format: Paperback, Format: Paperback
I had this book for a while did not have the chance to read as soon as I got it. Recently finished reading it and learned a lot of great things about startup terminology and how to be fast and how to iterate things in a right way, how to go deep in the problem. Identify pain points for the problem etc. Overall great teacher for anybody who wants to get grasp of a being in startup world.

Learning Faster, Failing Smarter
Format: Paperback
This book is truly amazing. Each chapter offers so much to learn. It helped me review what I’ve missed so far, anticipate future challenges, and prepare ways to reduce the chances of failure. It reminded me that failure is inevitable, but the speed of learning, adapting, and retrying makes all the difference. I learned that luck comes through action, ownership is everything, and true success lies in persistence and focus. The book also emphasizes solving real problems with humility, data, and continuous iteration. I’m truly grateful to have found this book — it changed the way I think about challenges and growth.
